2nd Generation
Serif Karavitzir takes over and continues the family tradition
3rd Generation
The third generation brings fresh ideas while maintaining authenticity
Our restaurant's story begins in 1960, when Ali Karavitzir first opened its doors, laying the foundation of a family tradition that continues uninterrupted to this day.
With love for hospitality, good food, and authentic flavors, the restaurant then passed to Serif Karavitzir, who kept alive the founder's vision and values, evolving it with respect and consistency.
For over six decades, we have remained a purely family business, rooted in Platani of Kos, a short distance from the historic Asklepion. A place that combines tradition with warmth, where the aromas of Greek and Turkish cuisine meet Eastern notes and recipes passed down from generation to generation.
Over the years, our restaurant has hosted countless visitors from around the world, including famous personalities, who sought authentic flavors, simplicity, and genuine hospitality. Thus, it became not just a restaurant, but a piece of local history.
Today, the story continues. The third generation of the family is making its subtle appearance, bringing fresh ideas, new passion, and a modern perspective, without altering the character and soul of the restaurant. With respect for traditional recipes and an open mind toward the future, the restaurant renews itself — always remaining faithful to the values that established it.
"We welcome you to a place where the past, present, and future meet at the same table.
